Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë [Review]
| I have really mixed feelings about this book. Of course I read it because it is considered a classic but the whole story just let me down. Where's the passion between Cathy and Heathcliff? For me, it's all a bunch of selfishness, brutality and drama. The only good thing that I can say about this book is that I like the way the autor characterizes the all action: the fields, the flowers, the mountains; but as for the characters I absolutely hated it. Cathy is a selfish and spoiled girl and Heathcliff is unbearable and pitiless. Although both have features that could have made the story interesting, it was just really boring. I got lost many times during the book since there was nothing on it that made me want to continue reading it, but I did it anyway just to keep my conscience clear. It's a shame because I was very eager to read it.
